This is amazing.

The eXpressive 860 is the newest embroidery and sewing machine form Elna...a very pleasing package. It has all the latest functions one would expect, colour touch screen, neat detachable embroidery unit and other advanced functions. For example there's a USB slot to import/export embroidery designs into the machine. It also has a 3MB built in memory where you can save regular decorative or alphabet pattern combinations, plus any customised embroidery designs for later use.  

A handy presser foot storage flip out tray is located directly under a flap on the front panel. It can hold up to 6 items that you  will be using most. The extension arm also has storage tray for feet and other small accessories. The extension arm slides off to reveal the sleeve arm. Using the Elna 860 to sew large quilts or curtains is a breeze, the area to the right of the needle is a huge 8-1/4" space.

With automatic thread trimmer the Elna 860 will cut threads between thread changes during an embroidery design. It also has a manual thread cutter at the touch of a button. Set the eXpressive 860 to automatic thread tension setting and sew without any tension problems. When needing to change between presser feet or even when one wants to refill the bobbin, a press of the LOCKOUT key on the touch screen, puts the Elna 860 into safety mode, where it will be locked and no functions can be accidentally pressed, even the start button with-out pressing the LOCKOUT key again.
